Alleen op de kluiver staken we het Ijmeer over, waarbij we toch regelmatig 6 knopen liepen. Bij Pampus was het een drukte van belang. In het laatste weekend van de herfstvakantie zijn er altijd de traditionele races met oude zeilende vrachtschepen: beurtveer en strontrace. In het seizoen charteren deze schippers met gasten, en als het seizoen over is, racen ze tegen elkaar. Inmiddels voeren wij onder de Hollandse brug door naar onze thuishaven, alwaar het grote uitladen van de boot kon beginnen, want dit was de laatste tocht van een mooi zeilseizoen, waarin we een geweldige zomervakantie in Engeland hadden, mooie tochten over IJsselmeer, Wadden en in Zeeland maakten en we 1580 mijl aflegden met de Jan-van-gent.
