We togen naar Terherne om ons aangepaste roer op te halen. Hierdoor komt het lijntje van de neerhouder van het beweegbare deel, zodat dat recht naar beneden blijft staan, ook bij meer vaart. Daardoor stuurt het schip lichter. Bij de asdoorvoer zijn ze dubbel zo dik voor extra stijfheid. Ze zitten mooi vastgekit tegen inwatering. Op het schuine stukje RVS rusten de wangen van de helmstok. Ook hier is de krachtenverdeling veel beter en wordt wrikken (=slijtage) tegengegaan. Dit deel zit voor het draaipunt van het roer, waardoor het sturen lichter zal gaan. Het lijken maar kleine stukjes, maar onze ervaring met opklapbare roeren is dat een klein balansdeel al veel invloed kan hebben. Voor we vertrekken op de grote tocht, zullen we natuurlijk proefvaren. Mocht het effect te groot zijn, dan is er snel een stukje afgeslepen.<\/p>\n<p>Al met al zijn we voorlopig heel tevreden over de operatie.
