Thermisch ondergoed, pakken, petjes en handschoenen aan dus. In de loop van de dag zou het opklaren, maar daar kwam weinig van. Op de motor ging het door de Holle Greft naar het Prinses Margriet kanaal naar de brug van Uitwellingerga, waar -zoals altijd- werkzaamheden aan de gang waren om de stokoude \u00a0basculebrug nog een paar jaartjes te laten werken.<\/p>\n<p>Na de brug gingen de zeilen omhoog en met weinig achterlijke wind dobberden we naar de Jelte sloot. Daar ging het met een knik in de schoot een stuk vlotter. Evenals op de Fluessen, waar het goed zeilen was. Tot een 44 voet mega jacht ons het zicht ontnam, hadden we mooi uitzicht op de kerk. Hetzelfde mega jacht, dat direct na aankomst precies bovenwinds van ons de BBQ aanstak en grote hompen vlees begon te verkolen. In elk van de elf steden van Friesland is zo&#8217;n kunstwerk gemaakt, dat altijd iets met de stad zelf en met water van doen heeft. En wat -zoals vaak bij moderne kunst- \u00a0voor allerlei ophef zorgt. In dit geval zijn de leeuwen aan voor- en achterzijde voorzien van een vervaarlijk gezicht en opgerichte zwans en spuiten ze op random momenten water naar elkaar. Ophef of niet, er staan voortdurend toeristen te fotograferen. En alle kunstzinnige achtergronden ten spijt: de grootste aantrekkingskracht voor kinderen en volwassenen blijkt te zijn om te proberen op de zeldzame &#8216;droge&#8217; momenten tussen de leeuwen door te sprinten en daarbij de spuitende fonteinen water te ontwijken. Dolle pret!
